What counts as a prompt?

A prompt is one query string we track across the AI platforms your tier covers. "best AI visibility tools for agencies" is one prompt, scanned daily on Pro across 5 platforms = 5 scans per day. Your prompt ceiling caps the number of distinct queries, not the number of scans.

How do the team roles work?

Three roles: Owner creates the org and manages billing; Editor can invite teammates, create prompts, and act on recommendations; Viewer sees dashboards read-only. 60+ route guards enforce the split server-side. Free is Owner-only. Starter gets 3 seats, Pro 10, Business 25, Agency unlimited.

What counts as a Brand?

A Brand is one company you track. Two common shapes: a child business inside your corporate umbrella (parent company with separate product lines, regions, or sub-brands), or a separate client company your agency manages. Each Brand gets its own prompts, competitors, scoring, recommendations, and dashboard. Prompts pool at the account level, so a 75-prompt Pro plan can be split however you want across your 10 Brands. 50 on the flagship, 15 on a new launch, 10 on a side project is a normal allocation.

Can I manage multiple brands on one account?

Yes. Brands are the top-level unit inside an org. Free covers 1 brand. Starter 3, Pro 10, Business 25, Agency 50. Quotas pool across brands so a 75-prompt Pro account can split prompts however you like across your 10 brands.

What is the Recommendations engine actually doing?

For every scan, we rank what to fix next by predicted score lift and effort. "Add an FAQ block to your pricing page, +9 points, low effort" is a typical card. You ship the work, we re-scan on the next cycle, and the impact tracker shows whether the score moved. Every paid tier ships this feature; no add-on fee.

Yes. Free gets 100 API calls per month, Starter 500, Pro 2,500, Business 15,000, Agency 50,000. REST endpoints return JSON. Bearer token auth. Rate-limit headers on every response. Pro and above also get the MCP server with 37 tools (including 4 dedicated AI Traffic tools) for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other AI coding clients.

Do I need Google Analytics to use AI Traffic Analytics?

No. AI Sightline tracks AI traffic server-side through your own middleware. We do not require a GA4 property, a Google Tag Manager container, or any client-side scripts. Install takes about 30 seconds via the Vercel marketplace, a Cloudflare Worker, or generic middleware on any Next.js, Express, or framework site.

What counts as a pageview toward my AI Traffic cap?

A pageview is a single request to your site that our middleware records. AI bot crawls bypass the cap, so even at-cap Free customers continue to see all bot crawl data. Static asset requests (images, CSS, JS) are excluded automatically. Tier caps: 10,000 on Free, 100,000 on Starter, 500,000 on Pro, 1,000,000 on Business, 2,500,000 on Agency.

What AI platforms does referral tracking cover?

Free covers ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews. Starter adds Microsoft Copilot and Gemini. Pro adds Claude. Business adds Perplexity. Agency adds an "Other AI" catch-all. Mobile iOS attribution works across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Claude iOS is currently a documented vendor gap and is disclosed in the dashboard.

How does AI Sightline catch AI traffic that Google Analytics misses?

Mobile in-app browsers (ChatGPT iOS, Perplexity iOS, etc.) strip the HTTP Referer header on outbound clicks, which causes GA4 and most attribution tools to log those visits as "Direct." AI Sightline reads utm_source URL parameters as a fallback and runs server-side at the edge before client-side blockers can intercept. The result: we catch AI mobile clicks that GA-based tools attribute to "Direct."

What about SOC 2 and SSO?

We do not have SOC 2 or SSO yet. We are bootstrapped and solo-founder; these ship when the customer base justifies them. What we DO have today: role-based access control with audit logging on invites and settings changes, TLS in transit, encryption at rest on Neon Postgres, least-privilege IAM on Vercel, Stripe for payment handling, and passwordless magic-link auth.
